Why?

19.30 and Malcolm arrives home - he pours us both a gin and tonic (ok ok give us a break - it's been a hard and long day!)

I had prepared our lavish haute cuisine supper ready to go in the oven.
What? You want to know what I had prepared? Scrumptious locally made organic ......... Sausages! Well that's what it said on the Waitrose packet! :)

And to go with them the gourmet sauce which was in the cupboard (something I had prepared earlier) and then all hell broke loose!

Out fell the marmite on to the granite work top. Being granite of course the marmite smashed into so many little pieces you just would not believe! You can imagine it can't you! No you can't actually - unless, of course, this unfortunate accident has happened to you! Not only are there little pieces of this awful black glass in every nook and crannie but black gooey marmite too!

Picture it now Malcolm and I glued to the spot (not quite with marmite - daren't move - no idea where this horrible gooey mixture has landed itself!).

So get the broom! No! Yuk - marmite in the bristles!

Get the mop! No! Glass in the mop!

Stop! Think! No! Thinking doesn't help either!

Get another drink!

Now ask me if I love it or hate it!?
