It all started with horse meat .....

Yes it all started with horse meat in burgers!

Now just where did I put that beef burger maker?
If you have one of those huge corner kitchen cabinets - you will know exactly what I mean as I continue.  Amazing cupboards never ending storage and exercise your back and leg muscles because you have to bend down to get in there - that's if you remember what the exercise gurus tell you 'BEND YOUR KNEES!'.   Tut!  Bendy, I am not, as I never remember to bend my knees and consequently the back groans when I bend (well its me that actually groans!) and nothing ever gets used in the cupboard unless it is at the front!

And back to the burger maker!  I just know it's gonna be hiding at the back of that wretched cupboard!

Nothing for it - kneeler on floor (that's the garden kneeler - seems to be clean and dry - that's probably because it doesn't get used either!) picture this (no good at self portraits so this is one picture you will have to imagine) me crouched in corner of kitchen heaving out clutter like you have never seen - oh my goodness there really is no bottom to this cupboard!

Why on earth did I keep all these lids?  Lids to used ice cream tubs!  More lids than tubs!  And what was I saving them for anyway?  Well obviously I thought they would come in handy one day!  And then there's the little plastic jugs that come with your new iron - have we really bought four irons since we had this kitchen fitted, obviously don't make irons like they used to?

Ah that's handy, a turntable for icing cakes? When was the last time I iced a cake? My sister's wedding? Won't mention that - a very long time ago and I think the icing broke someone's tooth :(icing wedding cakes not my forte!) Charity shop next stop for that before I get any more creative urges!
And the cute little plastic creme brûlée dishes that I saved all this time to use - for what exactly?

Plastic plates, dishes, cups and cutlery in all colours of the rainbow - ah now those I can explain and have very good reason for hoarding - grandchildren! :)

And finally, thank goodness - there it is - the burger maker (do you still sell them Lakeland?)   Well, I have a feeling you may need to restock  :)

Umm? Actually?  Why did I decide to take a whole morning up looking for a burger maker when we don't even eat burgers?

No its ok I have just thought of a good reason -  Grandchildren!  Well they may want burgers on the BBQ in the Summer - I will make my own!

Whew!  For a moment there I thought I might have wasted a whole morning!  Mind you the cupboard is now only half full! :)

I am sure I am not the only one who has the hoarding addiction of keeping all used plastic containers, lids etc just in case?
Come on - own up!
