A Healing Plant

It's Coffee Time!

The humble Lavender they say is a healing plant and with its soothing properties it helps to calm nerves and has been known to be affective in the management of anxiety.

2-3 cups of boiling water into a large bowl
Add 2-4 drops of lavender essential oil
One large towel over head
Bend over basin and inhale
And before long you should start to feel relaxed (hey! wake up! you'll drown in the bowl!)

And this little plant is reputed to have many medicinal properties, including help for migraines and insominia.

Well this is what the experts say anyway – is it all true?

The Goodwood Hotel obviously believe it, they leave a little bottle of Molton Brown lavender spray in your room when they come to turn down the bed!  Zzzzz – ah I went into a nice calm state there thinking of my few days away at Christmas. J
However, can’t say the little bottle helped me with my insomnia, but then apart from a general anaesthetic probably nothing would – my head is far too busy most of the time!
I love it's pretty flowers and perfume and have some in my garden in tubs placed just in front of where I sit with my magazine and coffee – well not now, of course, although I suppose I could snuggle up on the arbour seat with blanket and hot water bottle!

Now where did I put that Molton Brown lavender spray? zzzzzzzzzzz
